Amber, a native of Lindsay, Ontario, moved to her husband’s hometown of Pictou County in 2005. At that time, realizing her passion for helping others, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and later, furthered her education at STFX to become a Registered Nurse. Amber has always had a love for fitness and sports. During her early years of nursing, she fell upon her first real love of Group Fitness- Zumba. It wasn't long after that she became the second Zumba Instructor in Pictou County. During her education at STFX, she became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor and also took courses in Nutrition. Amber has continued to follow her enthusiasm for health and fitness and has experience in leading Bootcamps, Zumba, Strong Nation, Cardio kickboxing, Dance Fitness and HIIT. Her love for activity does not hide within the studio walls; outside of the studio you can find her paddleboarding, hiking with her black lab Nova, playing Pickleball, or teeing her ball up in Abercrombie. When asked however, about her greatest life accomplishment, she would reveal that it was becoming the mom of two amazing and active boys. A huge part of her life is now spent proudly cheering them on from the sidelines.Amber is very happy to be part of the Mobility Health & Fitness team sharing in the goal to create an inclusive environment where others feel comfortable moving their bodies, motivating them to lead healthier and active lifestyles. Currently, you can find Amber in our studio teaching Strong Nation, Butts & Guts as well as Dance Fitness. She truly believes that you should live every day to its fullest and that laughter really is the best medicine. She looks forward to welcoming you to one of her classes.
